As usual, this was a competitive category with a strong shortlist of talented journalists. Two finalists stood out for the judges, with Investment Week’s James Baxter-Derrington emerging as the winner.
“His writing is exemplary and displays good background knowledge, James has covered big stories and created well balanced, memorable pieces,” declared one judge. Another commented that his entry was a “strong submission”, and that his Grenfell Tower piece was “relevant and exposes hypocrisy”.
