Consumer Champion of the Year
On behalf of Jill Insley, The Times & The Sunday Times, Jessie Hewitson collects the trophy from Tom Baigrie, Chair of LifeSearch and awards host Kerry Godliman
Winner: Jill Insley, The Times & The Sunday Times
Consumer champion is always a competitive category and this year was no different. From the strong shortlist it was Jill Insley from The Times & The Sunday Times who emerged triumphant.
“This is the real deal. Exposing DWP cruelty, getting scammed money refunded by careless banks and grinding out a psychologically crucial score-draw with debt companies, while exposing the FOS crisis on the side,” one judge said.
“Jill has a warm, friendly tone, while outlining the severity of the situation. She obviously has the experience, influence and knowledge across a broad spectrum and gets results. If I were the victim of a scam, I'd want Jill in my corner,” said another.
