Winner:

Lily Russell-Jones, The Times and The Sunday Times

In its second year, this popular category presented judges with a strong shortlist to consider. However, judges were united their selection of The Times and The Sunday Times’ Lily Russell-Jones as a clear winner.

Judges were impressed by Lily’s skill at making fintech accessible for consumers. “Lily stands out in her approach to thought provoking and informative fintech reporting, whether that is breaking stories about the collapse of a crypto exchange or in her coverage of blockchain, NFT's and tokenisation,” said one judge. In the words of another judge, Lily’s entries both “raised some big issues and stood out in terms of quality”.
