Consumer Money Title of the Year

There’s always a strong field in this particular category, although the judges found it reasonably straightforward to whittle down the initial half-dozen contenders to a more manageable pair of possible winners. After some in-depth deliberations they sided with the money section of The Sunday Times. Earlier this year, the section joined up with its sister title The Times but, for the purposes of this award, it’s just the Sunday section which came out on top for its coverage in 2019.

“Sunday Times Money led the pack last year. It’s the full package with exclusives, investigations, thought-provoking commentaries and also some “fun” money pieces as well. A worthy winner in my book,” one judge pointed out. “I love its investigative and campaigning approach, one that gets positive results and where readers can rightly believe they’ve got an ally when it comes to sorting out their personal finances,” another judge commented.
