WINNER: SAM BARKER, MONEYWISE FOR WORK AT TELEGRAPH MEDIA GROUP
From a quality shortlist of five, there wasn’t a great deal to choose from among a trio of names who emerged as leaders after the first phase of scoring was completed. When the judges came together for the second round of adjudication it was Moneywise’s Sam Barker who emerged triumphant for the submissions he made from his time at the Telegraph.
“Sam submitted a strong set of exclusives that were bang on point for his target audience. It’s obvious he understands how the insurance market works,” commented one judge. “All three of Sam’s submissions demonstrated excellent investigative skills. The price comparison site story was particularly good. It showed how Sam identified and got to the core of the issue, one that will impact many people given how they buy their insurance nowadays,” added another judge.
