PR Agency of the Year
Congratulations to the specialist financial services PR agency whose “distinct approach” to business helped it to land this coveted team trophy for the first time and against stiff opposition. As with all the half-dozen PR and communications awards, it was the financial journalist community that had the final say with the outcome decided by an extensive poll carried out in January/February 2020.
Teamspirit wins this award for its work spread across the year although one element stood out. As it pointed out in its submission: “In 2019, our long-term client, Link, was caught up in the worst crisis to hit fund management in a decade: Woodford. This threatened huge reputational risk”.
The firm went on to explain how this was “an exceptional challenge for any agency, made harder by the strength of counter-briefings”. The undertaking “exemplifies the value our specialist knowledge, strategic counsel, and service ethic achieves,” it added, explaining that “despite the story’s legal and technical complexity, we were invited by Link to be their ‘voice’, reporting twice daily to the client”.
