Campaign of the Year

Lynsey Barber on behalf of The Sun, collects the trophy from Jemma Jackson Head of PR at interactive investor and awards host Ayesha Hazarika MBE

WINNER:

Give It Back, The Sun

Two campaigns dominated the judges’ deliberations, with The Sun’s ‘Give it Back’ emerging as the winner.

“This was a neglected issue across the income brackets,” said one judge “disability is a universal issue, they fought for an interest group not being heard and they owned it”. Judges praised the campaign for its “amazing storytelling and use of case studies”, packaged together as “a joined-up multimedia campaign”.

Highly Commended:

Protecting consumers in an energy crisis, MoneySavingExpert

Although not quite making the top spot, MoneySavingExpert’s work protecting consumers in an energy crisis also stood out for the judges. “A highly ambitious campaign at a flashpoint for households during the Cost of Living crisis,” said one judge. “The supporting work of the investigations team is detailed, effective, and powerful - a very commendable effort. The ‘heat the human’ guide was particularly inspired,” added another.
