In a hotly contested category, the judges were divided following the initial scoring phase with at least four of the entries in with a chance of winning. However, after the judges had discussed and considered all the entries in depth, the panel narrowed it down to a winner and a highly commended.

Judges were impressed with this “insightful deep-dive into the human impact of ESG gone wrong”, praising the “digging and level of research involved uncovering something new”. “This piece also highlighted the inadequacy of current conflict of interest rules,” commented one judge, also keen to recognise “the primary wearing out the shoe-leather" undertaken by Valeria.

With the judges split between two entries for the highly commended position, Uninsurable Planet eventually took the spot. “This was a moving, insightful, hard-hitting programme that asked some really tough questions and got some very important answers,” observed one judge. “An excellent, thought-provoking report on an engaging topic,” remarked another.
