Judges agreed that the overall standard in this category was very high this year, finding it tough to decide between two frontrunners. However, Insurance Insider’s Catrin Shi pulled into the lead.
“Catrin's work is powerful and hard-hitting,” remarked one judge, praising her “depth of knowledge and contact building”. She produced “strong stories” and “shone a light on a very murky and secretive world”, confirmed another judge.

Coming close to the top spot this year was Jen Frost, for her work at Insurance Business. Judges complimented her “broad range of skills and research methods” and were impressed with her “well-constructed stories highlighting important industry issues”.
