Chiara Cavaglieri, Which? Money

Savings Journalist of the Year is always a competitive category, and this year was no different. The first round of judging placed a pair of journalists ahead of the rest, but when a consensus emerged at the panel discussion, Which? Money’s Chiara Cavaglieri came out top.

“Her articles grab readers' attention and are always accessible,” remarked one judge, praising Chiara’s “well-written, in-depth analysis giving useful practical advice, highlighting real issues consumers are facing often in different and perhaps less well-known areas”.

As a building society we’re run differently from a bank. We don’t have external shareholders to satisfy, instead we’re here for the benefit of our members. The money we earn is given back to our customers in interest rates, goes towards paying for the service we provide or gets re-invested to build a stronger society for the future.
We’ve built our strategy around our purpose of providing Real Help with Real Life.

For us that means delivering three central ambitions: helping people to have a place to call home and helping them towards greater financial wellbeing, whilst creating long-term value for our members.
