Local/Regional Journalist of the Year

WINNER: ROBIN JOHNSON, BUSINESS LIVE/DERBY TELEGRAPH

The great thing about the Headlinemoney Awards is that you’ve got to be on top of your journalistic game year-in, year-out. On occasion that can result in certain individuals winning twice, possibly even three times, in a row. On others it means new names regularly comes to the fore and that’s the case with the regional category and the Derby Telegraph’s Robin Johnson who scoops his inaugural Headlinemoney award.

“I thought Robin’s was a really good submission, not only providing really solid news-driven coverage for the audience in question, but also packed full of local commitment,” one judge commented. “I thought Robin’s submission was great. Subjects were covered from the perspective of a local audience while also reflecting national issues. Within the articles, there was excellent use of reader-aids such as breakout boxes as well. Overall, a really worthy winner,” another judge commented.
