Rising Star of the Year (B2B)

WINNER: IMOGEN TEW, FTADVISER

Headlinemoney’s B2B rising star category is often a stepping-stone to even bigger and better things within the money media for shortlisted contenders, let alone the journalist who actually goes on to win. Appearing on the list certainly doesn’t hinder the old CV. This year produced a strong field of new-ish journalists and the category sparked lots of debate amongst the judging panel.

Eventually, it was FTAdviser’s Imogen Tew who emerged victorious with one judge commenting that: “There’s no doubt to my mind that Imogen’s our rising star. She’s a reporter who not only seeks out stories as you’d expect her to, but she clearly wants to serve her audience well by asking those really difficult questions.” “She’s obviously talking to many different people on her beat which will stand her in good stead as her career develops, no doubt ever more successfully,” a second judge remarked.

  • Amy Austin, FTAdviser/Financial Adviser
  • Jen Frost, Insurance Post
  • Sophie King, Professional Adviser
  • Sonia Rach, Money Marketing, for work on Portfolio Adviser
  • Ollie Smith, New Model Adviser
  • Imogen Tew, FTAdviser
