Winner

Navigating a Terminal Illness , Felicity Hannah, James Graham, Helen Ledwick & Jess Quayle, Money Box Live - BBC Radio 4

This was a clear winner, described by one judge as “a standout piece of broadcasting - compassionate, thoughtful and genuinely impactful”.

The panel agreed this was a powerful and moving programme that tackled an often overlooked aspect of personal finance: navigating money during terminal illness. It was brave and sensitive, getting people knowing that they were approaching the certainty of the end of their lives to talk about the challenges and financial pressures.

“The programme handles these stories with care and dignity, balancing expert input with lived experience in a way that feels both informative and human. It makes a complex subject accessible while prompting important reflection,” said one judge, while another was equally impressed: “A difficult topic handled with poise, providing very important information for those in their darkest hour.”
