The panel commented on how Elliot was “prepared to tackle controversial topics that haven’t been given much of an airing, but which are going to have a major impact on his readers”, and how his work has also had an impact and led to changes.
“Really strong. I enjoyed the distinct tone - it is clear he has an editorial voice,” explained one judge. “Another hallmark of a top-class consumer journalist is a great style,” added another. “I like his style in these stories, which is punchy, to the point and written with a critical eye.”
