Press Team of the Year (in-house)

Evelyn Partners' Adrian Lowery collects his trophy from Alistair Kellie, Practice Head, Communications at SEC Newgate and awards host Ayesha Hazarika MBE

WINNER :

Evelyn Partners

Congratulations to the team at Evelyn Partners, who were placed onto the shortlist by judges impressed by their “massive achievements for such a small team amid a huge company rebrand”, before the UK’s financial journalists voted them Press Team of the Year.

In 2022, the firm completed the integration of Tilney and Smith & Williamson, rebranded to Evelyn Partners, and relaunched its investing platform Bestinvest. Each of these projects was complemented by multi-faceted media activity. Throughout, the team maintained a highly active day-to-day programme of press releases, expert commentary, and one-on-one media meetings, generating some impressive press coverage.

Judges described them as a “highly regarded team with an excellent eye for news,” complementing their “excellent results in a year of change for the team internally”.

Highly Commended:

AJ Bell

The journalist vote placed the AJ Bell press team closely behind, following remarks from the judges applauding their “excellent entry” and ability to “always be quick off the market with relevant, insightful comment and analysis”, while managing all PR, policy, and social media work in-house with no retained agency.
